Description

Speechify is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to lead the design and development of native Windows desktop applications. The role involves architecture, accessibility efforts, and collaboration in a fully remote, purpose-driven environment with high impact.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop applications
Define and enforce best-practices for Windows desktop development across the codebase
Drive accessibility efforts and integrate support for accessibility APIs
Collaborate closely with product designers, UX researchers, QA, and other stakeholders
Take ownership of full lifecycle of features from conception to maintenance

Requirements

3+ years in Windows desktop application development using Windows App SDK, WinUI, C#, XAML
Deep understanding of Windows application architecture including managed and native code interop
Proven track record of designing, building, and shipping production-quality desktop applications
Strong experience with accessibility APIs on Windows such as Microsoft UI Automation
Excellent software engineering fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms
