Description
Senior Software Test Engineer at Werfen participating in verification and validation activities for clinical solutions software. The role involves designing test cases, executing functional and non-functional tests, working with risk-based testing aligned to safety requirements, and collaborating in Agile squads. Strong focus on test automation, continuous testing practices, and regulatory compliance for medical device software.
Responsibilities
Design functional test cases scenarios with very good level of coverage and build traceability to requirements
Identify, report, and re-test complex defects
Review requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria to ensure test coverage
Design and execute tests of non-functional requirements including performance, cyber-security and usability
Generate advanced metrics to assess testing progress
Participate in generating test documentation records on a daily basis
Execute risk-based test cases and understand safety risks associated with the project
Participate in user stories risk analysis and design traceability to safety requirements and risk mitigations
Use cutting-edge technology to innovate while testing and developing
Collaborate with squad members to implement user stories, write tests, and continuously deliver new product functionality
Could act as a Scrum Master of the project
Requirements
Approximately 5-7 years of related testing experience
Solid knowledge of Test Design Techniques
Understanding of testing against functional requirements in formal (TCs) and exploratory testing
Advanced knowledge of Test Environment setup
Automation coding skills with capability of maintaining scalable test infrastructure including configuration control, branching strategies, frameworks/tools, pipelines, and Continuous Testing practices
Medium SW test automation experience
Medium testing experience in Agile methodology
Experience with issue tracking and defect management
Engineer, Computer Science or other Technical degree, or equivalent work experience
Good English speaking and writing skills
Experience in SW functional and non-functional test (desirable)
Experience in Software Medical Devices development following ISO 13485 (plus)
