Description
A financial risk analytics division is looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer in London to work on its evolving product suite across Buy and Sell Side risk. The role covers data-heavy end-to-end design, from discovery and research through to delivery and iteration, for products used by the world's largest banks and financial organisations. The designer will maintain and evolve the existing design system, build Figma prototypes and ensure accessibility through WCAG guidelines. This is a hybrid role requiring at least two days per week in the office.
Responsibilities
Work with product, technology, support, professional services and client-facing teams to gather and analyse requirements
Translate complex problems into robust interfaces that promote user-centered design principles
Cover all stages of the product lifecycle, from discovery and research through to delivery and iteration
Create high-quality UI designs that are clear, accessible, consistent and aligned to the company brand
Collaborate closely within the team to ensure designs are feasible and effectively implemented
Present and communicate design rationale clearly to stakeholders and clients
Maintain and develop prototypes built with Figma to reflect the product roadmap, new features and concepts
Support implementation and quality assurance by reviewing developed features to ensure they match the intended experience
Maintain and evolve the existing design system to support new features and technologies
Promote accessibility by incorporating WCAG guidelines into designs and maintaining rigorous brand consistency
Work closely with developers to support implementation, exporting UI elements and documenting wireframes
Review and test new features before release and perform usability testing to identify and troubleshoot UX problems
Requirements
At least 5 years of UX/UI experience, with 7 years preferred
Demonstrated experience designing complex data-dense enterprise or B2B products such as dashboards, analytics and workflows with heavy tabular or chart data
Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience conducting usability tests and heuristic studies
Portfolio demonstrating recent relevant work across the end-to-end design lifecycle
Skilled using design tools such as Figma for both high-fidelity designs and prototyping
Practical understanding of web technologies and what is feasible from a development perspective (CSS, HTML5, TypeScript, React)
Bachelor's degree with a focus in HCI, Design or a related field (preferred)
Experience in the financial industry, ideally with Risk Analytics, Buy Side Risk, Traded Market Risk, XVA, CCR, FRTB, portfolio risk, fixed income analytics or liquidity risk (preferred)
