Description

The role leads the GCE Engineering Productivity team building tools and frameworks that empower developers to ship high‑quality software efficiently. It focuses on improving reliability of GCE services and shortening time‑to‑market for new features.

Responsibilities

Manage a team navigating deep technical problem spaces
Lead infrastructure and tooling strategy while balancing multiple projects
Apply AI‑first mindset to develop productivity solutions
Build, grow and retain top engineering talent within the organization
Partner with developers and product managers to identify productivity issues
Improve production quality and coverage through scalable tooling
Drive reliability improvements for GCE services and reduce time‑to‑market
Foster a culture of innovation and continuous engineering excellence

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Minimum eight years of experience with Java, C++ or Python
At least five years managing internal infrastructure or developer tools
Two years of people management or team leadership experience
Proven track record applying AI solutions in DevOps or SDLC
Strong understanding of large‑scale distributed computing and cloud services
Ability to lead infrastructure and tooling strategy across teams
Excellent communication skills and ability to build cross‑functional partnerships

Conditions

Role requires on‑site presence at Warsaw office
High responsibility level with expectations for rapid delivery
