Description
This role involves joining Accenture Strategy's M&A and Private Equity Consulting team to assist PE investors and corporate clients in shaping and executing complex transactions. You will work across the full deal lifecycle, from target screening to value creation, in fast-moving cross-border European environments, delivering measurable impact through strategy and functional expertise.
Responsibilities
Lead workstreams across M&A and PE engagements spanning pre-deal diligence to post-merger integration
Translate ambiguous deal challenges into structured workplans and actionable insights
Support or lead target screening, due diligence, and synergy assessments
Plan and execute Day 1 readiness and integration programmes across business functions and technology
Drive IMO/SMO governance including coordination, RAID management, and executive reporting
Support functional Integration/Separation planning across Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, HR
Shape IT integration/separation strategy across applications, infrastructure, data, and platforms
Scope and manage Transitional Service Agreements and exit plans
Support PE portfolio value creation with 100-day priorities and transformation roadmaps
Contribute to business development and M&A thought leadership
Requirements
6+ years of experience in Functional M&A or Tech/IT M&A with demonstrated leadership in complex engagements
Proven post-deal delivery experience, leading workstreams through Day 1 readiness, integration, separation, or value realization
Proven IMO/SMO governance capabilities including workstream coordination, RAID management, and executive reporting
Deep functional expertise in Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, HR, IT, or Commercial with understanding of transaction impacts
Deep industry knowledge in priority sectors like Communication, Media, Technology, Financial Services, etc
Proven experience managing senior client stakeholders and engagement teams
Strong commercial acumen and structured problem-solving for board-level recommendations
Ability to lead in fast-paced, ambiguous environments while coaching junior team members
Experience in business development, proposals, and thought leadership in M&A context
Strong verbal and written communication in English; German, French, other European languages valued
