Description

Take up a key role in the Data Science team, building predictive and innovative models that shape marketing and customer strategy and drive growth. This is an end-to-end role: from stakeholder conversations to production deployment, shaping solutions that matter. You'll apply predictive modeling and advanced statistical techniques to understand customer behavior, translate fuzzy business questions into concrete data science problems, and collaborate with the Machine Learning Engineering and Platform team on shared tools and best practices.

Responsibilities

Apply skills in predictive modeling and advanced statistical techniques like regression, classification, forecasting, A/B testing and causal inference to understand and predict customer behavior for smarter retention and value decisions
Take ownership of models end-to-end: from data exploration in Snowflake and feature engineering to deploying models on AWS SageMaker
Make sure work is automated, tested and reliable, working closely with GitLab
Translate fuzzy business questions into concrete data science problems and complex results back into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
Work closely with the Machine Learning Engineering and Platform team to continuously improve shared tools, ML platform and best practices
Guide the business, explore new opportunities and demonstrate the power of data

Requirements

At least 4-6 years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a proven track record of taking models from an idea to a live, production system
Strong, practical foundation in statistical and machine learning techniques, especially predictive modeling, regression and classification techniques, understanding causal impact and A/B testing
Fluent in Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn, Statsmodels etc.) and strong, clean SQL skills (Snowflake is used)
Belief in MLOps and building things that last: comfortable with containerizing models with Docker and CI/CD, hands-on experience with GitLab/AWS SageMaker
Great communicator and true team player who enjoys collaborating, can guide stakeholders, manage expectations and make the complex simple

Conditions

Full-time in-person work location in Amsterdam
Forty-hour week with flexible working hours
