Description

A freelance e-commerce designer is being hired for a fully remote role focused on Shopify sites of French DTC brands. The work consists of targeted CRO interventions — A/B tests, quick optimizations, new sections and landing pages — measured by conversion results rather than six-month redesigns. Working alongside a CRO strategist, a project manager and a Shopify developer, you turn optimization briefs into ready-to-integrate Figma mockups.

Responsibilities

Create A/B test variants from CRO briefs: product cards, selectors, menus, reassurance blocks, cross-sell, collection pages
Adapt layouts for mobile and desktop, anticipating different states and edge cases
Produce e-commerce assets: product images, marketing visuals, infographics, sometimes generated with AI
Enrich Notion briefs for developers with behaviors, states and interactions within an agile framework
Work hand in hand with the developer to ensure pixel-perfect integration of validated mockups
Switch between several brands in the same day across very different graphic universes
Design complete landing pages for promotions and product launches from CRO briefs
Create new Shopify sections to evolve client sites
Propose UX improvements on existing pages: PDP, collections, checkout, with a performance goal
Use AI tools (Claude Design, Midjourney, Ideogram) to speed up mockup and asset production

Requirements

Expert-level Figma mastery: auto-layout, components, variants, clean naming so developers open files without questions
Integrating AI into the design workflow with tools like Claude Design and image generators, plus curiosity for new tools
Digital designer mindset thinking in components, responsive layouts and conversion funnels
Strong visual eye for clean, readable, balanced work while subverting personal taste to the client's art direction
Rigor and self-checking: reviewing the file against the brief, checking typos, spacings and states before delivery
Genuine interest in e-commerce and understanding that each visual choice serves a conversion goal
Operational mindset thriving on agency pace, velocity and switching between topics
Healthy attitude toward detailed and frequent feedback until reaching full autonomy
E-commerce benchmarking culture: extracting principles, not copies, from reference DTC brands
Knowledge of Shopify constraints: sections, theme editor, limitations
Appetite for agile methods (user stories, sprints) or willingness to learn them

Conditions

100% remote work with great geographic flexibility
Freelance contract
Direct mentorship from the cofounder leading design with UX/UI Shopify knowledge sharing
Fast agency rhythm with several tickets, clients and design reviews per day
Work on iconic French DTC brands
