Description

We're building an operating system for the digital workspace where strategic transformation, automated operations and device deployment run on one platform. The platform is being built now, so what you write reaches production quickly and is used by named enterprise customers rather than sitting in a backlog. This is a hands-on full-stack build role where a handful of engineers own the whole platform end to end — schema, API, front end, deployment and whatever breaks later. There is no separate platform or DevOps team, so engineers see their work all the way through.

Responsibilities

Own features end to end: schema, API, front end, deployment
Build front-end and back-end features on C# / .NET, TypeScript, Vue, SQL Server and Azure
Design and consume APIs, and integrate third-party platforms so they hold up in production
Build and maintain Azure services (App Services, Functions, Storage) using infrastructure as code (Bicep), and tune the database for performance and reliability
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, and ship deployments that don't need a rollback
Write unit tests with real coverage that hold up beyond the happy path
Monitor logs, alerts, and error reporting, and fix infrastructure problems before a customer reports them
Use AI coding tools (Claude Code) to move faster, and review every line of the output before it lands

Requirements

Strong C# / .NET and TypeScript, with solid Vue experience
SQL Server: model data properly and diagnose a slow query yourself
Hands-on Azure experience in a production environment
Git and Azure DevOps
Code that is structured, secure, and right-sized for the problem, with a sense of where the balance sits
Comfortable being one of a handful of engineers, with the autonomy and exposure that comes with it
Strong communication and collaboration: explain your thinking clearly, work well with people outside engineering, own your mistakes as readily as your wins
UK-based, with the existing right to work in the UK; no visa sponsorship available
Nice to have: charting libraries, particularly eCharts
Nice to have: end-user computing or IT support background

Conditions

Fully remote across the UK, with the whole team getting together at head office every so often
Small team, short decision chains, no layers to route around
Direct contact with the people who use the product and the people who sell it
New tools and frameworks are backed where they earn their place
No separate platform team, so you see your work all the way through
