Description

Wilgenhaege, a financial services company, is building a new IT landscape from the ground up and is looking for an experienced Full-stack Developer to join the Head of Tech in writing their custom software from the first line. The stack is Java (Spring Boot) on the backend with a modern TypeScript frontend framework, PostgreSQL, BPMN/DMN process engine, containers in the cloud with infrastructure as code and automated pipelines. The team builds small increments that go straight to production for colleagues and clients.

Responsibilities

Lay the foundation: the cloud environment, the pipelines and a first version that runs in production right away
Build custom services for what makes the company unique, such as client and contract registration and the administration of investment products
Develop client and employee portals so clients do business digitally and colleagues have less manual work
Connect standard packages via APIs and events so data is recorded once and stays consistent everywhere
Choose the modern TypeScript frontend framework together with the team, such as Next.js, Nuxt or SvelteKit

Requirements

Completed HBO or WO level degree, preferably in Informatics, Software Engineering or a similar field
At least 5 years of experience as a full-stack or backend developer with Java as the main language
Experience with TypeScript and a modern frontend framework such as React, Vue or Svelte
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and designing REST APIs
You have brought software to production and maintained it: testing, monitoring, logging and incidents are second nature to you
You think along about architecture and prefer simplicity over complexity
You work independently and communicate clearly, also with non-technical colleagues
You speak and write Dutch well and work daily with business colleagues

Conditions

Full-time position of 40 hours per week
Gross salary between €5,800 and €6,800 per month
Significant influence on technology, architecture and tooling
Room for education, certification and personal development
Certificate of Conduct (VOG) required at employment in the financial sector
