Description

Graduate academy programme starting September 2027 at a sports technology company's HQ in Alkmaar, Netherlands, or in Budapest, Hungary. Participants join as software engineers or product designers and choose from seven focus areas: mobile, backend, frontend, machine learning, QA, product design and real-time art with Unity and Unreal Engine. The work turns live player-tracking data into real-time 3D visualisations for major sports leagues, with real ownership from week one under mentorship.

Responsibilities

Mobile development: shipping matchday features for fans on Android and iOS
Backend: building the services and data pipelines that keep live sports information flowing without a hitch
Frontend: turning designs into fast, accessible interfaces that bring live sport to the browser
Machine learning: cleaning and modelling sporting data, then turning it into predictions clients rely on
QA: owning quality across our platforms, from test plans to automation that catches issues before fans do
Product design: researching how fans and clients use our products, and designing what comes next
Art, Unity and Unreal Engine development: creating virtual environments for live sports broadcasting
Work alongside experienced engineers and designers from week one, owning real work in your discipline

Requirements

An excellent degree, bootcamp or standout project experience in their chosen discipline
Deep curiosity about how things work, and the confidence to figure things out
Evidence of shipping things: apps, projects, portfolios, open-source contributions
Strong communication skills, because you'll work closely with engineers, designers and product teams from day one
Comfort with ambiguity, and the drive to learn quickly with the support around you
An interest in sport and how technology changes the way fans experience it (a bonus, not essential)

Conditions

Office-first team working across time zones
Start date: September 2027
Real mentorship from the engineers and designers behind Emmy-winning broadcasts
