Description
A Project & Contract Manager is sought for Berlin to take full operational, commercial and strategic responsibility for complex customer projects in the Trading & Product segment. The role covers the complete order lifecycle from order intake through execution to project close including the warranty phase, in line with SQCD principles. Acting as the central interface between plant, purchasing, finance, assembly and customers, the role secures administrative data quality in SAP and SharePoint alongside strategic project steering in an interdisciplinary matrix organization.

Responsibilities
Holistic operational, commercial and strategic control of complex customer projects in the Trading & Product segment
Covering the full order lifecycle from order intake through execution to project close including the warranty phase in line with SQCD principles
Independent steering, maintenance and planning of complex customer orders and subprojects in SAP following corporate compliance policies and global process standards
Creation and formal review of order confirmations plus binding communication with customers on order changes
Expert maintenance of payment and revenue schedules to ensure financial transparency and continuous project reporting in Project Reviews
Proactive steering of the project process and independent development of solutions for operational deviations such as supply chain disruptions and schedule shifts
Early identification of process and project risks and alignment of corrective measures with all relevant interfaces
Conducting gap analyses between specification and offer and negotiation of change order claims with customers
End-to-end steering of global material deliveries including own customs and export handling
Ensuring legally compliant quality standards through complete project documentation and certificate verification
Coordination of assembly services under strict EHS compliance and supplier standards
Commercial project processing in SAP following all OTR processes and clarification of open invoices
Serving as the central interface between plant, purchasing, finance, assembly and customers while safeguarding administrative data quality in SAP and SharePoint
Requirements
Completed commercial or technical vocational training or a completed degree; comparable qualifications and motivated career changers with relevant professional experience are welcome
Ideally experience in project management, preferably in plant construction, high-voltage sector or the environment of turnkey switchgear and substations
Basic knowledge of logistics and customs processes or a PMI or IPMA certification is an advantage
Interest in electrical engineering products and projects
Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style with the ability to coordinate multiple topics in parallel and set priorities
Excellent communication skills and confident presence with customers, suppliers and internal interfaces
Negotiation-level German in word and writing plus good English for daily work in an international environment
Willingness to occasional business trips within Europe and worldwide and to support at various sites or construction sites
