Description

A French cybersecurity editor certified by ANSSI is hiring a QA Engineer to secure functional quality across web, browser extension and mobile (Android/iOS) squads. You join a two-person QA team that is being expanded, owning test design, acceptance campaigns, bug handling and the Go/No Go decision for major releases. The role starts with functional testing and building the test case documentation; contributing to the Playwright/TypeScript automation suite follows within 6 to 12 months.

Responsibilities

Analyze functional specifications and business needs
Qualify User Stories and challenge their testability before development
Contribute to the test strategy and functional test plans for your scope
Design test cases and data sets from User Stories and the client bug base
Prepare and execute test campaigns: functional, integration, regression and acceptance
Run exploratory tests and smoke tests on web, extension and mobile
Quickly understand a release scope, identify risk areas and adjust test depth
Participate in acceptance testing with business teams
Own the Go / No Go decision for major releases in your scope
Investigate unexpected behaviors and isolate the root cause
Write clear reproducible bug reports and submit them to developers
Qualify, prioritize and track bugs until their resolution
Verify fixes and carry out re-tests
Write and maintain the test case documentation for your scope
Contribute to structuring acceptance testing with the rest of the QA team
Contribute to the automated test suite in Playwright / TypeScript within 6 to 12 months
Target stable and business-critical user journeys
Improve execution reliability and CI/CD integration, including flakiness and feedback time
Decide what deserves automation and what stays more efficient as manual testing
Write and communicate test reports
Participate in squad ceremonies and exchange daily with developers, product and support
Use support and client feedback to expand test coverage
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and practices
Explore AI usage for quality and share with the team what actually saves time

Requirements

3-5 years of QA experience on web products, ideally also mobile (Android, iOS)
Strong functional test culture: test case design, acceptance testing and regression testing
Comfort with code: reading, writing and maintaining tests in TypeScript
Experience with or strong interest in Playwright (Cypress or Selenium is a good starting point)
Good knowledge of agile practices and Jira
Hands-on Git and understanding of a CI/CD pipeline
Rigor, autonomy and a strong team spirit
Desire to build a QA practice rather than apply an already written process
