Description

Liebherr is hiring an SAP S/4HANA Test Automation Consultant for its newly established IT Shared Service Centre in Madrid. The role sits within the Test Management stream of a global greenfield S/4HANA program, covering implementation, enhancement and maintenance of test automation. The consultant will define the automation strategy, build a scalable framework for SAP GUI and Fiori, own the regression repository, integrate automation into CI/CD and publish real-time dashboards.

Responsibilities

Define and implement the automation testing strategy for the SAP S/4HANA program ensuring alignment with quality engineering objectives
Establish and enforce best practices, methodologies, and processes for automation across the end-to-end testing lifecycle
Design, build, and maintain a scalable and robust automation framework for SAP GUI, Fiori, and integrated systems
Develop and track automation KPIs, continuously monitoring framework performance, effectiveness, and improvement opportunities
Own and enhance the regression test repository, increasing test coverage and efficiency through automation
Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to support release cycles for regression and integration testing
Support the automation of functional test cases at the component level, enabling shift-left testing approach
Integrate automation tools with test management platforms to automatically update execution results and generate reports
Serve as the primary coordination point for automation deliverables, collaborating with functional teams, development teams, and implementation partners
Integrate and manage the automation repository within the CI/CD pipeline, enabling continuous testing for global and local business processes
Design, publish, and maintain real-time automation dashboards in test management tools to support transparency and data-driven decisions

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with extensive hands-on experience in automation testing for SAP ERP applications
8+ years of professional experience in implementing and supporting test automation
Strong proficiency in ERP automation tools such as Tricentis Tosca, Worksoft Certify, and Suxxesso Automation Test Suite
Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks including data-driven, modular, keyword-driven, BDD, and Page Object Model architectures
Expertise with test management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Xray, and Confluence, as well as CI/CD platforms including GitHub and Jenkins
Functional automation experience for both SAP native applications and SAP Fiori apps leveraging modern automation tools
Ability to define KPIs and metrics for automation ROI, coverage, and efficiency
Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages such as German are an advantage
Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross-functional teams
Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30%) as required by project work
