Description

Mercanis is building an Agentic AI Procurement Suite that makes procurement digital, transparent, and intelligent. The company is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to evolve the infrastructure behind its SaaS and agentic platform. The role covers AWS infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, security, and developer experience across multiple services and environments, with hands-on ownership in a small collaborative engineering team.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform and AWS CDK
Improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines across services and environments
Support serverless and cloud-native workloads, including Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, and EventBridge
Improve monitoring, alerting, logging, and distributed tracing with CloudWatch and OpenTelemetry
Strengthen infrastructure security, including IAM, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and production access
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment workflows and developer experience
Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis

Requirements

5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or a similar role
Strong hands-on AWS experience in production environments
Solid experience with Terraform, GitLab CI, and infrastructure-as-code practices
Good scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar
Experience operating production systems and troubleshooting complex issues
Security-minded approach to cloud infrastructure and access management
Strong communication skills in a remote-first, async environment
Proactive use of AI tools to improve engineering productivity, automation, documentation, troubleshooting, and decision-making
Experience working in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments is a plus, especially with GCP, Alibaba Cloud, or STACKIT
