Description

Xelix is a Series B scale-up that automates financial controls for large companies with AI solutions. The Senior Product Designer works in a trio with a Product Manager and Tech Lead, taking end-to-end ownership of complex, ambiguous B2B problems. The role spans research, usability testing, product strategy, AI-driven design workflows and parts of the design system as the product scales.

Responsibilities

Take end-to-end ownership of high-complexity, high-ambiguity work with dense B2B data
Frame the problem yourself when there is no clean brief to start from
Work alongside the PM and Tech Lead on roadmap and product strategy
Spot gaps and risks before they are handed to you
Push back on scope or approach when the product needs it
Bring AI into prototyping, workflow and thinking about what is now possible
Plan and run usability testing yourself and turn findings into direction
Hold the standard for usability, accessibility and consistency including in critique
Own parts of the design system as the product scales

Requirements

5+ years in product design with a portfolio of complex, high-quality B2B work shipped end-to-end
Track record of taking ambiguous problems to shipped solutions independently
Real experience planning and leading research and usability testing, not just joining it
Genuine comfort using AI-assisted design and development tools as part of the actual workflow
Deep Figma proficiency and systems-level thinking about components and scalability
Strong grasp of accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, and design systems architecture
Solid understanding of HTML/CSS/JS and how design decisions land in code
Comfort with ambiguity, bringing structure rather than waiting for it to arrive
Excellent communication and sound judgment on when to escalate versus decide
Understanding of finance or accounting basics is a big plus
Experience in fast-moving environments such as scale-up or start-up
Experience mentoring designers or contributing to team process

Conditions

Full-time position with standard working hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Hybrid working with 1-2 days a week from the Hoxton office
27 days of annual leave including 3 days Christmas closing, with the option to roll over 3 days
Comprehensive private medical and dental cover
Enhanced parental leave pay
£1,000 personal annual learning and development budget
Dog-friendly office with on-site gym
Annual team retreat and team socials
