Description

An AI platform for the Mittelstand takes companies from their first AI experiment to AI that runs their actual work. The (Senior) Product Engineer closes the gap from a collection of features to a cohesive product experience, owning both implementation and UX end-to-end. The role is full-stack (React, TypeScript, tRPC, PostgreSQL) with close collaboration with a product designer, based in Munich/Unterhaching or Berlin.

Responsibilities

Build interaction models for AI features that don't have a playbook yet
Make AI capabilities discoverable for people who don't know what's possible
Guide teams from having AI access to it being part of how they work
Work closely with the product designer, co-designing from scratch or driving a feature end-to-end
Own the user experience so users can find, understand and reach their goal without explanations

Requirements

3+ years building full-stack features in production: React and TypeScript on the frontend, backend logic and data modeling
You own the whole feature, not just the UI layer
You own the entire user experience of a feature: information architecture, user flow, copy and error states
Think from the customer's perspective: does this solve the problem, can they find it and use it unaided
Attention to detail that's active: notice misaligned spacing, missing loading states, confusing copy and fix them
Share what you know: context, tradeoffs and open questions that make the engineers around you better
