Description

An AI-powered health coaching app with over 17 million downloads and 300,000 five-star reviews is hiring a Senior SRE for its Platform team, responsible for AWS infrastructure, the Kubernetes platform and internal engineering tooling. The role is operations-led, covering AWS, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD setup, observability and the on-call rotation. A meaningful part of the work is automation, with most tooling written in Go.

Responsibilities

Work day to day on AWS, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD setup, observability, and the on-call rotation
Invest in tooling rather than writing another runbook when the same task appears twice, mostly in Go
Maintain infrastructure defined with Terraform and Terramate, with Atlantis running plan and apply on pull requests
Operate workloads running on EKS with Karpenter, Cilium and Istio, deployed through ArgoCD
Support observability built on Grafana, Loki, Tempo, and Prometheus compatible metrics
Investigate production incidents where logs can be incomplete and metrics can mislead

Requirements

Several years of hands-on experience operating production systems on AWS and Kubernetes, including genuine on-call ownership
Solid working knowledge of AWS fundamentals, including VPC, IAM, EKS, and RDS
Practical experience with Terraform and a GitOps-style delivery workflow such as ArgoCD, Atlantis, Flux, or similar
Comfort writing code, with some prior experience in Go or a willingness to pick it up
Strong written and spoken English, and the communication skills to drive design discussions across engineering, product and security
Staying focused under pressure and working through ambiguity in a structured way to reach a real root cause
Strong investigation, debugging, and problem-solving instincts
Learning quickly, regularly being the first person on the team to take on something new
Handling problems that are not yet understood as the most important quality for the role

Conditions

Operations-led position with an on-call rotation
Flexible on some locations as long as working hours overlap with European time zones
In-office, remote and hybrid work opportunities
Competitive salary package based on expertise and product impact plus stock options
Equipment whatever you need to be happy and productive
Premium subscription to the app
21 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
Flexible hours focused on results rather than time spent at the desk
Open-minded teams and an inclusive company culture
