Description
A leading healthcare software provider operating in 19 countries with over 9,000 employees is hiring a Senior Test Automation Engineer. The role owns end-to-end test strategies, test harnesses and CI pipelines for medical software products built on C++ desktop, .NET and modern web stacks. The engineer plans load and performance testing, acts as the team's quality conscience with a shift-left approach, and applies AI agents such as Claude Code to generate and maintain tests.

Responsibilities
Design and own end-to-end test strategies across all levels — unit, integration, system, UI, stress and performance tests — for medical software products
Build and evolve test harnesses and CI pipelines that detect regressions early, run stably and scale, delivering fast, reliable feedback to C++ desktop, .NET and modern web stacks
Plan, implement and analyse load and performance tests, identify bottlenecks and stability risks, and drive measurable quality improvements together with development teams
Work closely with development, architecture and product management, act as the team's quality conscience and embed test-driven shift-left engineering practices
Use AI agents and tools like Claude Code to generate, maintain and triage tests, and build reusable automation skills and workflows for the whole QA community
Requirements
Several years of experience in test automation at senior level with deep understanding of multi-layered test frameworks, proven practice in load and performance testing, ideally in regulated or safety-critical environments
Excellent university degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering or a comparable technical discipline with very good grades
Very good programming skills in at least one language such as C#, Java, Python or TypeScript; hands-on experience with modern test tools like Ranorex, Playwright, Cypress, version control and CI/CD such as GitLab CI; ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus
Demonstrated effective use of AI in QA workflows; ideally experience with Claude Code or similar agentic coding tools (agents, skills, workflows), AI pipelines, test harnesses and context engineering
Business-fluent German and fluent English written and spoken, strong problem-solving skills, innovation drive, pronounced proactivity, entrepreneurial mindset and high quality standards
