Description

A hybrid design and front-end leadership role for client-facing portals, based in Warsaw. The position combines UX ownership — requirements-to-prototype and design system governance — with hands-on senior React/TypeScript engineering. The role holder translates ambiguous business requirements into validated prototypes and leads a mid-level development team to deliver accessible, enterprise-grade portal experiences.

Responsibilities

Own the requirements-to-prototype pipeline: run discovery with business and product stakeholders, produce wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity designs
Define and enforce UI/UX standards, interaction patterns and design system usage across all portal applications
Architect and build key React/TypeScript front-end components and shared UI libraries, setting technical and design precedent for the team
Review pull requests and provide constructive, actionable feedback to mid-level developers on design fidelity and code quality
Partner with backend and API teams to ensure front-end designs are technically feasible within service and data constraints
Drive accessibility compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA and responsive design across all portal screens
Conduct usability testing and validation sessions and iterate designs based on user feedback and analytics
Mentor mid-level UI/UX developers on design thinking and React best practices
Participate in architecture and design governance reviews as design owner for the portal

Requirements

14+ years overall software/product design experience, with 8+ years hands-on React/TypeScript development and a strong UI/UX design portfolio
Expert-level proficiency in design/prototyping tools such as Figma, including component libraries and design systems
Strong hands-on React.js and TypeScript development experience covering component architecture, state management and hooks
Demonstrated experience translating designs into production-quality, responsive, accessible UI
Familiarity with containerized application environments like Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift and modern CI/CD pipelines
Strong stakeholder management — comfortable defending design decisions to both business and engineering audiences
Experience reviewing code and providing technical and design feedback within a team setting
