Description

The company is hiring a Senior Technical Product Manager to own the vision for Keet, a fully peer-to-peer messaging and video calling app built on Holepunch's P2P stack. The role spans product vision and strategy, technical product leadership, rapid AI prototyping, sprint execution and mobile release management. The goal is to grow Keet to one billion users, competing with WhatsApp and Telegram. This is a fully remote position.

Responsibilities

Own and articulate the long-term product vision for Keet as the leading private peer-to-peer communication app with a clear path to 1 billion users
Analyze WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, LINE, WeChat and emerging competitors to identify where P2P gives Keet an advantage and build the roadmap around it
Present product vision, strategy, metrics and progress to the board and executive leadership
Define a growth strategy across acquisition, activation, retention and virality with measurable targets at every stage
Develop a deep working understanding of the Holepunch P2P stack and translate its capabilities and constraints into product decisions
Partner with core engineering on hard P2P problems at scale, including NAT traversal, offline sync, multi-device support, large groups and push notifications
Own the real-time calling experience including 1:1 and group voice and video plus screen sharing to a quality bar matching Google Meet and Zoom
Define clear feature tiers with explicit labels for stable versus experimental functionality
Use AI coding and design tools to build working prototypes and demos that prove concepts before committing engineering resources
Lead the product team and run the sprint cadence end to end, covering planning, prioritization, standups, reviews and retrospectives
Own deliverables from conception through release, testing and post-launch iteration
Maintain issue trackers and roadmaps that accurately reflect priorities and sprint commitments
Coordinate across engineering, QA, design, marketing and business stakeholders and manage cross-team dependencies
Provide transparent updates on status, risks and timeline changes and hold direct conversations about accountability
Own the mobile release process across iOS and Android, including App Store and Google Play submissions, review guidelines, compliance and release management
Oversee desktop distribution and installers across macOS, Windows and Linux
Build crash reporting, debugging and analytics systems that turn user reports into actionable engineering data

Requirements

8+ years of product management experience including significant time in a senior or lead role owning a consumer product end to end
Strong product sense with a proven track record of setting product vision and driving it to measurable outcomes at scale
Experience leading engineers who ship products, including running sprint cadences with predictable delivery across cross-functional teams
Deep JavaScript and React skills with the ability to read and write production code, review pull requests and build working prototypes
Intuition for distributed and local-first systems, reasoning about sync, offline behavior and consistency trade-offs
Hands-on experience shipping and scaling mobile apps on iOS and Android with App Store and Google Play release management
Experience with real-time voice and video calling products and their quality, latency and reliability trade-offs
Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to rapidly prototype and demonstrate product concepts
Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting vision and strategy to boards, executives and investors
Strong understanding of urgency versus importance and fast, high-quality decisions with incomplete information
Excellent written and spoken English
Product leadership experience at a major messaging app such as WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, WeChat, Signal, Viber or KakaoTalk
Experience with peer-to-peer technologies, distributed systems or decentralized protocols, prior exposure to Holepunch, Pear or Hypercore
Experience growing a product in emerging markets or across multiple regions and languages
A background in privacy, encryption or security-focused products
Familiarity with Electron, React Native or similar cross-platform frameworks, installer systems, boot performance and Linux packaging
Solid understanding of testing approaches, test automation and performance testing
An engineering background or computer science degree
Experience with Git, issue trackers and modern collaboration tools
