Description

AKQA, part of WPP, is seeking a Designer for the Marketing and PR team to create bespoke assets ensuring brand consistency across channels. The ideal candidate has strong design skills, communication abilities, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Provide motion and graphic design for visual communication from social assets to presentations.
Explore and propose new ways to express AKQA’s brand beyond existing guidelines.
Responsible for asset management, collation, and archiving.
Consistently deliver high quality work on time, supporting the wider team.
Generate ideas with senior members of Creative and Marketing department.
Contribute actively to briefs, listening and responding, and communicate ideas clearly.
Work independently with minimal day-to-day creative direction.

Requirements

Proficient in formal elements of design including typography, layout, balance, hierarchy, proportion, rhythm, emphasis, and unity.
Proficient and confident in working in Figma with understanding of website design and design systems.
Proficient and confident in working with Creative Cloud applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, After Effects, and Premiere Pro.
Create original designs that align to project goals, creative direction, fluid templates, and standards.
Bring fresh thinking to how the brand is expressed across formats, balancing originality with creative standards.
Consult with technical disciplines to ensure designs work within limitations and files are prepared with necessary information.
Accountable for quality of design deliverables with high attention to detail.
Prepare for creative reviews by outputting optimized files and presentation materials.
Ability to balance stakeholder expectations with project realities.
Strong sense of personal responsibility for work and teammates.
Diligent, flexible, resourceful, and independent with strong work ethic.
