Description

The Smart Sensing team within the R&D Wearable business unit is looking for an engineering intern specialized in electronics and sensors: sensors, signal processing, embedded AI/ML and prototyping. The mission focuses on smart eyewear: recognizing the environment, activities and status of the wearer from a smart glasses device, from proof of concept up to integrating advanced electronics and algorithms into a frame. The intern joins a multidisciplinary team developing technical solutions for internal and external R&D needs.

Responsibilities

Run and own field data collection for near-vision detection and object identification from a set of sensors integrated in a frame
Understand and master the current sensors and the ones to be integrated
Understand the developed AI engines, adapt them for new sensor integration and optimize them for an embedded target
Integrate a CNN engine on a Cortex-M and/or RISC-V microcontroller target to process sensor signals in real time and distinguish reading contexts in near field
Test and qualify the performance of the embedded solution in controlled conditions, ideally using the final hardware device

Requirements

Master's degree in engineering sciences (electronics / sensors / data / AI): 2nd year Master, Specialized Master, double Master or 3rd year engineering school (PFE)
Strong knowledge of ML/AI and embedded systems: Cortex-M / STM32 / GAP9 microcontrollers, digital signal processing
C, Python, TensorFlow, Keras, Visual Code, Keil, STM32Cube.AI
Initiative, autonomy, active listening, collaboration, result-driven and passionate mindset
Start date January 2027, 6-month internship based in Paris
