The frontend engineer owns interfaces end-to-end, from early wireframes and prototypes through to production-ready code, covering data visualization, real-time dashboards and human-autonomy teaming. The role is based in Berlin with relocation support, VSOP options and an engineering culture built on code review, RFCs and pair programming.

Own the user interface end-to-end, from early wireframes and prototypes to production-ready code
Propose and implement new features, capabilities, visualizations or even full products across the stack
Translate complex technical data into usable, intuitive interfaces for engineers and operators
Establish and evolve the component library, ensuring consistency and reusability across multiple front-ends
Become a mentor, find a mentee and support the interviewing pipeline
Share experience and technical know-how through tech talks, learning groups and topical office hours
Connect with, understand and make changes to backend systems written primarily in Rust
Further develop tests and benchmarks at both micro and macro level
Present your work at weekly demo sessions

Requirements

Strong frontend design and coding experience with JavaScript
State-of-the-art experience with frameworks like React
Enjoy designing for technical products and data-heavy UIs, with strong user research and prototyping skills
Experience with APIs and server-client communication such as REST and GraphQL
Comfortable working with unfamiliar backends, ideally with some exposure to Rust
Ability to write legible, maintainable and performant code
Communicate well in English, both verbally and in writing
Enjoy collaborating with others, including reviewing code and pair programming
Comfortable working asynchronously with PRs, RFCs and discussions by email
