Description

The employer develops and publishes hybrid-casual mobile games for a global audience, with over 500M downloads and 1M daily players. A Head of Publishing is sought to lead the entire Publishing business and grow it profitably — this is an ownership role, not a support or execution function. The hire takes over an established business with hit games, active audiences, UA, creative, and analytics teams, producers, and a budget. Clear milestones define success over the first 90 days.

Responsibilities

Own the Publishing financial plan and grow Publishing profitably through P&L management
Grow anchor games by identifying what is holding back their growth and removing those constraints
Decide which projects to invest in and scale only those that prove their potential with data
Allocate budget and team to the strongest opportunities and make timely Scale, Fix, or Stop decisions
Build a top-tier producer team that independently identifies project problems and drives studios to deliver results
Lead the producer team and the UA, Creative, Analytics, ASO, Support, and Publishing Delivery departments
Decide whom to hire and how to develop people within the approved budget and agreed scope of authority
By day 30: assess portfolio economics and managers, and present priorities, forecast, and risk assessment
By day 60: run Publishing independently with key decisions put into action and a producer team plan ready
By day 90: show the first results of decisions, with the leadership team working through you

Requirements

Led mobile game publishing for at least 5 years and owned a P&L
Understands the product core loop, depth, retention, and monetization, and can tell strong potential from a weak signal
Connects product, UA, and creatives with profit, payback, and capital
Knows how to build and lead a team of managers: set high standards, develop strong performers, and decide on underperformers
Can influence partner studios and drive product changes through expertise and trust
Speaks Russian and English fluently
Proven track record of taking games to the top of the revenue charts (nice to have)
Hands-on experience in performance marketing (nice to have)
Experience building publishing operations and processes, including pipelines, delivery, and data workflows (nice to have)
