Description

A graphic design research lab building state-of-the-art image generation models and tools for designers, illustrators, marketers, and developers is looking for a Performance Creative Designer working across static and motion. The role alternates between fast test weeks (many statics and rough video cuts, each built around a clear hypothesis) and scale weeks focused on high-quality video ads that carry real budget. The hire will build the performance creative function from the ground up, shipping creative that holds up on Meta, Google, and TikTok, with the company's own studio as the day-to-day production tool.

Responsibilities

Produce paid ad creative for Meta, Google, and TikTok: fast statics and rough video cuts for testing, finished video ads for scaling
Make video ads that show a concrete result: product demos from screen recordings and motion graphics, before-and-after transformations, short cinematic spots with AI video models, creator and UGC footage edits
Own the creative testing pipeline end to end: form a hypothesis, ship it, read the results, iterate on winners
Take a winning idea across formats: static into motion, 20-second spot into 6- and 15-second cutdowns, 9x16 into 4x5, 1x1 and 16x9, English into other markets
Translate performance data (hook rate, hold rate, CTR, cost per payer) into the next round of creative yourself, rather than waiting for a brief
Use the in-house studio as the primary production tool for image and video generation and feed learnings back to the product team
Keep ad creative consistent with the brandbook while adapting tone by placement and audience

Requirements

3+ years creating performance and paid-acquisition creative, with video ads as a regular part of that work
Portfolio of static and video ads that actually ran, with context on what won and why
Strong motion design and editing: After Effects (or similar) for type, UI, and product animation
Editing skills in Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut; Figma or Photoshop for static
Strong understanding of video ad anatomy: hooks, first three seconds, pacing, sound-off captions, safe zones, platform specs, and policy limits
Hands-on experience using AI image and video tools (Runway, Kling, Veo, Seedance) in a real production workflow, including knowing where they fall short
Able to work at two speeds: rough and fast when testing, polished and precise when scaling
Based in the EU, Georgia, Armenia, or Serbia, with the right to work as a contractor there
Nice to have: experience with design tools, creative SaaS, or dev tools (Canva, Picsart, Photoroom, Figma-adjacent products)
Nice to have: vector animation or 3D skills (Blender, Cinema 4D)
Nice to have: ad copywriting and scripting for hooks, on-screen text, and voiceover
Nice to have: experience briefing creators and editing UGC or creator partnership ads
Nice to have: sound design and music selection for short-form video
Nice to have: in-house experience at a product company, ideally subscription-based, rather than purely agency-side work
Nice to have: experience growing own audience as a creator or influencer on Instagram or TikTok
Nice to have: already a user of the company's product

Conditions

Full-time contractor engagement, fully remote, with compensation that matches the seniority and ownership of the role
Real ownership of the testing pipeline, from hypothesis to shipped ad to the next iteration
Range in the work: fast testing one week, high-production video the next, with budget behind ideas that win
Product built on AI image and video generation where creative work has a direct, measurable line to company results
Chance to be the first person to define performance creative, with test results becoming the team playbook
Direct collaboration with Performance Marketing, UA, Creative, and product teams
