Description

European vertical software vendor is hiring a Product Owner for its HR product with AI embedded in the entire workflow. The role covers writing specs executed by both the team and AI, prioritizing a single work queue, functional QA acceptance, prototyping and automation with AI, and data-driven impact measurement. Based in Murcia or Barcelona with hybrid work, flextime and a remote option.

Responsibilities

Define the product by understanding customers and users, detecting real problems in HR management and turning them into measurable product opportunities
Write clear, complete and verifiable specifications that the AI and the team can execute, following spec-driven development
Manage the team's single work queue, prioritizing tasks by impact, urgency and effort
Validate deliverables through functional acceptance in QA, checking that results match the spec before production
Prototype and automate with AI, low-code or no-code tools to validate ideas before development
Use AI daily to analyze feedback, research, draft and review specifications, generate test cases and document with judgment
Act as a bridge between business, customers and the team's Architects, explaining the why of each priority
Define success metrics, track product usage and decide with data what to improve, keep or retire

Requirements

2–4 years of experience as Product Owner, Product Manager or a similar software product role, ideally B2B SaaS
Experience writing user stories, functional specifications and acceptance criteria a technical team can execute without ambiguity
Experience managing and prioritizing a backlog with impact criteria
Regular use of generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot or similar in your work
Understanding of how software works internally: APIs, data and integrations — no coding needed, but fluent dialogue with the technical team
Analytical mindset: relying on data and user feedback to make decisions
Clear oral and written communication in Spanish; English sufficient to read documentation and work with English tools
Autonomy, critical thinking and desire to learn continuously in a fast-changing environment
Plus: experience with spec-driven development, for example with OpenSpec
Plus: experience creating prompts, agents or custom instructions to guide AI
Plus: automation tools like n8n, Make, Zapier or AI prototyping tools like Lovable, v0, Bolt, Figma Make
Plus: knowledge of the HR sector — personnel management, payroll, time tracking, labour regulations
Plus: experience in functional QA, acceptance testing or defining test cases
Plus: familiarity with Git, merge requests and deployment pipelines

Conditions

Hybrid full-time work from Murcia or Barcelona with a remote option
Flexible working hours
Skills development plan with clear objectives and growth based on what you demonstrate
Direct impact on the product with decisions reaching production quickly
AI as part of everyday work with training included
Personalized training itinerary and internal mobility opportunities
Regular follow-up with your manager and skill goals defined from day one
Afterwork events, sports activities, CSR initiatives and seminars
Salary band according to your experience
