Description

A Slovenia-based product company is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Developer for an existing production system built on TypeScript, Node.js, SQL Server and React. The backend runs on an in-house framework with services wired through a DI container, and a significant part of business logic lives in the database rather than in application code. The frontend is assembled from git submodules with Module Federation, and tests are written in Vitest, including integration tests against a real SQL Server instance. The role is a full-time B2B contract with remote work from Russia or other countries and a preferred overlap of 9:00–15:00 CET.

Requirements

5+ years of professional software engineering, including ownership of production systems rather than isolated features
Strong TypeScript and Node.js
Strong SQL Server: T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, indexes and execution plans
Comfortable working without a full ORM, with heavier logic written as direct SQL
Strong React: hooks, Redux Toolkit or comparable state management, data fetching
Designing API contracts and integrations with versioning and backward compatibility for external consumers
Ability to become productive inside an in-house framework using its internal documentation and the code itself
Familiarity with dependency injection, since backend services are wired through a DI container
Writing tests, including integration tests that run against a real SQL Server instance in a local container
Security awareness in everyday work: authentication and tokens, endpoint authorization, injection prevention
Working with AI coding agents and verifying their output, defending every submitted line in review
Professional written English for specifications, documentation and code review comments
Nice to have: experience with enterprise or legacy integrations
Nice to have: experience with systems where runtime behaviour is driven by configuration in a database
Nice to have: PostgreSQL experience, used in neighbouring services
