Description

A European platform that industrialises and digitalises the construction sector is looking for a Senior Product Designer to own the Procurement and Construction product areas. The designer works inside a squad with a Product Manager, an engineering lead and developers, turning separate Excel modules and tools into one coherent data-heavy platform. The role combines hands-on interface design with field research on construction sites and close work with Project Management, Engineering and Construction teams. Product designers report directly to the CPO and take part in design critiques, design-system evolution and AI adoption.

Responsibilities

Transform independent digital modules and Excel tools for bid comparison, contracting, construction planning and cost control into one integrated platform
Design interfaces with a high volume of data such as comparison tables, contract scopes, planning boards, cost dashboards and approval flows
Establish the foundations and principles that let the Project Management team feed your area with its data
Feed real contracted prices and actual construction performance back into the catalogue of work items
Design for the least digitalised users of the value chain: site managers, construction teams and suppliers
Visit construction sites, observe the work on the ground and design from what really happens
Collaborate closely with Project Management, Engineering and Construction teams to identify problems and test solutions iteratively
Contribute to the evolution of the design system, run design critiques and drive AI adoption and impact
Use product analytics and research to measure adoption, spot friction and ship improvements quickly

Requirements

More than five years designing digital products as Senior or Lead Product Designer in an individual contributor role
Experience with B2B products or products with a high volume of data is especially valued
Experience working in startups or fast-growing environments together with Product and Engineering teams
Comfortable with qualitative research, direct conversations with customers and business data
Solid knowledge of user-centred design methodologies and problem definition
Systemic thinking: design systems first and experiences second, understanding value inside complex ecosystems
Excellent stakeholder management to align diverse opinions without sacrificing quality
Daily use of AI tools to work faster, prototype quickly, explore interface variants and write UI copy
Fluent Spanish, both spoken and written
Professional level of English
Valued: previous experience in the construction sector or in architecture and engineering environments
Valued: 0-to-1 initiatives or redesigning major product areas within an already consolidated design system
