Description

Wise is hiring a Senior Product Designer for its newly created Credit team, starting with US Business credit. The designer owns the full credit journey — eligibility, application, decisioning, onboarding, limits, statements, repayments and support — turning complex credit propositions, policies and systems into intuitive, transparent experiences. The role combines zero-to-one product work with shaping the proposition and roadmap together with Product, Engineering, Research & Analytics. The position is full-time and based in London, United Kingdom.

Responsibilities

Own the full credit journey: eligibility, application, decisioning, onboarding, limits, statements, repayments and support
Shape the product proposition and roadmap, not only the execution
Identify and solve friction in how customers pay, track and manage their spending
Design for a global product, balancing consistency with local nuances across markets
Turn complex systems and constraints into simple, intuitive user experiences
Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Research & Analytics to ship high-impact improvements
Use data and research to continuously improve customer outcomes
Raise the bar for design quality and consistency across Credit offerings
Help customers understand whether credit is right for them and build trust through transparency
Improve critical moments: declines, limit changes, statements, missed repayments and restrictions
Balance customer experience with risk, compliance and operational constraints

Requirements

Strong experience designing complex product experiences, including the operational processes behind the interface
Background in fintech or a similarly complex, regulated domain is an advantage
Comfort working with ambiguity and shaping problem spaces rather than only solutions
Ability to simplify complexity and design intuitive experiences in constrained environments
Systems and journey thinking rather than designing individual screens alone
Experience designing global products across multiple markets and handling regional regulatory differences
Using data and research to inform design decisions
Clear communication and effective collaboration across disciplines
End-to-end product and service design experience rather than primarily visual execution
Willingness to challenge product, commercial and risk assumptions when they harm customer outcomes

Conditions

Full-time employment
Location: London, England, United Kingdom
Work within the risk, compliance and operational constraints of credit products
International, distributed cross-functional team environment
