Description

Role in a French payment solution provider, inside the Convert tribe that covers part of payment acceptance and processing. The Product Manager owns a multidisciplinary squad (developers, QA) dedicated to the processing engine: authorisations, network connectivity, 3DS authentication, disputes and compliance with scheme mandates. Reporting to the Head of Product, the PM works closely with the tribe PMs and Business Analyst, with direct impact on acceptance rate, performance and regulatory compliance for merchants. Success is measured by delivery commitments, early risk escalation and clear communication of progress, blockers and decisions to non-expert audiences.

Responsibilities

Contribute to building the squad roadmap together with the Head of Product
Identify merchant needs, business opportunities and regulatory or scheme mandate changes affecting processing
Run discoveries, validate feasibility with the technical team and settle trade-offs with stakeholders
Prioritise the backlog and write specifications and user stories
Drive the squad delivery and commit to a realistic timeline
Secure releases and validate deliverables together with QA
Define and track success indicators for owned topics: acceptance rate, performance, incidents
Contribute to the run and continuous improvement of the platform
Facilitate squad rituals together with the Engineering Manager and keep the team aligned daily
Act as the product point of contact for compliance, ops, support and sales teams and for partners
Share the vision and progress of owned topics with the squad and the wider company
Participate in product discussions at tribe level and contribute to cross-cutting topics

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in Product Management
Experience in card payments, payment or fintech: PSP, acquirer, fintech or bank
Prior ownership of a technical or B2B product, ideally an API or a platform
Good understanding of payment flows: authorisation, clearing, settlement, 3DS and chargebacks
Knowledge of CB, Visa and Mastercard networks and their mandates is a strong plus
Ability to discuss architecture, APIs and flow diagrams comfortably with developers
Ability to make argued decisions and align varied internal and external stakeholders
Fluent French and English, both written and spoken
Proactivity: setting the direction, anticipating risks and bringing proposals and trade-offs
