Description

FX Digital is a specialist Connected TV agency delivering product strategy, design, engineering and test automation for global streaming brands such as Discovery+, BritBox, ATP Media and ITV. The Senior Project Manager owns end-to-end delivery on complex or multi-workstream projects, leading cross-functional teams of TAs, Product Managers, Designers, Engineers and QAs. The role combines delivery ownership, financial control, client relationship leadership and mentoring of junior colleagues. Based in the Barcelona office with hybrid working.

Responsibilities

Building integrated plans across workstreams and managing the critical path with scenario modelling
Anticipating systemic risks across workstreams, maintaining RAID in a decision-ready form as the source of truth for client and leadership reviews
Managing change control on projects and taking each CR through approval
Adapting the agile approach across workstreams and using delivery metrics for forecasting and early risk detection
Working with Engineering to move toward continuous delivery via feature flags, automated release gates and frequent small releases, accounting for CTV certification
Product Owner role on less complex projects: owning the backlog, prioritization and acceptance criteria
Keeping schedule and cost variance, RAG-red weeks and lifecycle sign-offs within department KPIs
Owning budgets, forecasts and margin for large and parallel projects with weekly monitoring and reforecasting twice a month
Estimating change requests with the team before any commitments to the client
Accurate time tracking and following the overtime request process
Owning the client relationship as a trusted senior contact, handling complex negotiations independently
Proactive status updates to senior stakeholders and clients across all workstreams
Proactively communicating issues, defects and bugs with solution options
Translating technical trade-offs into the language of senior and executive stakeholders
Gathering client feedback and working to maintain satisfaction at KPI level
Introducing approved AI and automation tools into workstreams
Formal mentoring and management of junior colleagues, building a psychologically safe environment
Resolving competing priorities between client and internal stakeholders without escalation
Identifying and pitching account expansion opportunities
Owning impact assessments for new or expanded scope and presenting them to the Commercial Team and the client

Requirements

5–8 years managing complex or parallel delivery projects with proven mentoring or management of other PMs
Experience as a Project Leader, not a coordinator: anticipating problems, providing solutions and recommendations instead of escalations

Strong communication with senior and executive audiences and ability to adapt the message on the fly
Willingness to deliver bad news to senior stakeholders with solution options
Innovative mindset — introducing new practices and technologies with measured results
Influence without authority across different disciplines and senior stakeholders
Desirable: experience in a digital agency delivering apps or streaming products for multiple clients
Desirable: exposure to OTT/CTV, streaming or digital product delivery
Desirable: experience building or improving delivery processes and templates adopted by the department
