Estimate delivery, identify risks early and ship high-quality solutions in a timely manner
Champion best practices and raise the bar for code quality, turning lessons learned into platform improvements
Balance short-term feature unblockers with long-term health, security and maintainability of the platform
Build foundations for autonomous AI agents: agent instructions, reusable skills, tool integrations, guardrails and automated checks
Work agent-first day to day, delegating implementation to agents and focusing judgment on direction, architecture and verification
Align priorities and communicate trade-offs with partner teams and leadership

Requirements

Proven expertise building production frontend applications with TypeScript and React
Solid backend knowledge and comfort owning and operating Node.js services that support frontend infrastructure
Strong knowledge of frontend build tools, bundlers and module systems and ability to evolve them
Track record of diagnosing and resolving complex performance, reliability or DX issues in large frontend codebases
Experience driving technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams and stakeholders
Strong stakeholder management skills: aligning priorities, managing expectations and communicating trade-offs
Strong communication skills and a collaborative platform-mindset approach to working with feature teams
Strong documentation skills, including writing RFCs or ADRs
Nice to have: experience with micro-frontend architecture
Nice to have: frontend platform engineering experience
Nice to have: building shared component libraries used by many product teams
Nice to have: hands-on CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes and cloud infrastructure for frontend workloads
Nice to have: experience or interest in observability and reliability (SRE)
Nice to have: tooling for autonomous AI coding agents, including agent instructions, skills, MCP servers or evaluating agent-generated code

Conditions

Hybrid setup with the role based in the Berlin tech hub
Collaboration with engineers, designers and operators across three companies
Deep technical challenges across frontend architecture, agentic development and developer experience
Diverse, open-minded team culture valuing creativity, autonomy and continuous learning
