Description

The employer is building an operating system for mobile services that lets tech platforms embed global connectivity into their products, automating provisioning and removing telecom complexity. The role owns architecture and technical vision of a hosted checkout for mobile plans built with React, Next.js and TypeScript, leading projects from a fuzzy problem to a shipped product. The engineer works across product, design and backend teams, mentors senior individual contributors and helps shape technical strategy. The company of around 150 people is scaling its engineering organization and hiring a senior IC track.

Responsibilities

Own the architecture and technical vision of the hosted checkout for mobile plans in React, Next.js and TypeScript
Lead projects from a fuzzy problem to a shipped product talking to customers, working with design and planning across the stack
Raise front-end operational excellence through performance budgets, error boundaries, observability and graceful degradation
Shape API contracts between front end and backend and trace bugs end to end in Ruby or Go
Find where AI changes the product and how the team builds it and push those changes forward
Mentor senior engineers and help define the senior individual-contributor growth path
Ship production code and shape technical strategy with engineering leadership

Requirements

7+ years building and operating production React applications at scale with deep TypeScript, Node and Next.js experience
Strong opinions on state management, rendering performance and design systems backed by systems that did not scale
Comfort working across the stack: read and modify Ruby or Go services and understand consumed APIs
Strong front-end operational instincts covering error tracking, performance monitoring and failure states as first-class concerns
Experience with agentic AI development and LLMs beyond code completion, knowing when AI speeds work up
Track record of driving technical outcomes across teams without direct authority through credibility and evidence
Evidence that engineers around you got better with concrete specifics of their growth

Conditions

Full-time employment with competitive compensation and stock options
Hybrid format with regular time in one of the hubs plus some remote focus work
Occasional travel for team workshops, customer meetings and a bi-annual company off-site
Stipends for home office or work setup and a learning and development budget
Free phone with an international data plan
