The role combines traditional design skills with AI-powered image generation. The designer will collaborate with the design lead, producer, and animation team to deliver high-quality visuals that match each project's established style. Create and extend 2D environments, backgrounds, props, illustrations, and other visual assets
Combine original sketches, AI-generated images, and manual editing to develop high-quality visuals
Refine compositions, lighting, colours, and visual details to achieve the desired look
Maintain visual consistency across assets and ensure they fit the established style of each project
Create designs that work within larger environments and can be adapted across different platforms
Share work in progress, gather feedback at key stages, and incorporate it into the final output
Collaborate with designers, animators, and the producer to deliver visual assets that support storytelling

Requirements

Strong 2D design and image-making skills, with a good understanding of composition, lighting, colour, and typography
Proven experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator
Hands-on experience with AI image-generation tools such as Midjourney, ChatGPT, Nano Banana, Seedance, or comparable tools
Strong prompt-writing skills and the ability to guide AI tools towards a specific visual direction
Ability to think in 3D space and design environments, props, and visual assets that fit a coherent style
Excellent spoken and written English
Independence, ownership, attention to detail, and proactive communication
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced creative environment
Experience in gaming, animation, or similar visual-production environments (nice to have)
Experience with After Effects (nice to have)

Conditions

Part-time workload with flexible working hours agreed with the team
Opportunity to grow into a full-time role
