Description

An experienced AI Product Owner is sought to own the vision and delivery of digital products built on Machine Learning and generative AI for a large client account. The role sits in a multidisciplinary product squad working closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, data engineers, software developers and IT teams on a modern Azure and Databricks ecosystem. The owner manages the product backlog, facilitates Agile ceremonies in Scrum and SAFe, frames POC/PoV experimentation phases and steers adoption, ROI and model performance KPIs. The position is a permanent, hybrid contract based in Paris.

Responsibilities

Structure, refine and prioritise the product backlog by business value in JIRA and Confluence
Write detailed user stories including functional acceptance criteria and algorithmic constraints specific to AI
Assess the technical feasibility of use cases together with data scientists and solution architects
Contribute to user journey design and interface mockups in Figma
Facilitate all agile rituals: Sprint Planning, Daily, Demo and Retrospective within Agile and SAFe frameworks
Coordinate development progress, remove blockers and guarantee compliance and quality of deliverables
Manage the AI product lifecycle: frame POC/PoV experimentation phases, validate production readiness criteria and drive continuous model improvement
Define and steer KPIs such as adoption rate, business ROI, algorithmic performance metrics, latency and inference cost control

Requirements

Bac+4/5 from an engineering school, business school or university programme in computer science, data science or information systems management
At least 5 years of experience in Product Management or Product Ownership functions
Proven experience with data products or artificial intelligence products
Confirmed command of Agile methodologies: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe and value-based prioritisation
Hands-on backlog management and steering with JIRA and Confluence
Solid experience facilitating ideation, framing and playback workshops for multidisciplinary teams
Defining and tracking impact-oriented objectives: OKRs, product KPIs and analytics
Excellent understanding of core AI concepts: Machine Learning, LLMs, RAG and conversational agents
Knowledge of cloud data environments such as Azure and Databricks, plus basic SQL querying
Operational professional English for daily work with international stakeholders
Strong product and value sense, able to arbitrate in favour of user impact and ROI over algorithmic complexity
Federating leadership and pedagogy to build durable bridges between non-technical business teams and data scientists
Rigour in trade-offs and high standards for software and statistical quality criteria
