Description

Product Designer role shaping digital experiences for brokers and insurers within a startup team of a larger organisation. The designer turns customer insights into intuitive designs in Figma, builds prototypes, tests ideas with users, and develops a consistent design system across multiple products. The role owns end-to-end design from discovery and research through prototyping, hand-off, and post-launch iteration, partnering with product management and engineering.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end design of colleague-facing features — from discovery through interaction and visual design, prototyping, and hand-off
Lead and conduct research with internal colleagues and users — discovery, concept testing, usability testing, and synthesise findings into direction
Turn insights into clear design decisions and defensible product direction
Partner with product management and engineering to ship, and work within the shared design system
Measure outcomes after launch and iterate

Requirements

Solid product design experience with a portfolio of shipped work, and comfortable working independently with support from your lead
Experience in planning and running your own studies — we don't have a separate research function, so research sits with design
An ownership mindset: proactive, outcome-focused, at ease with ambiguity, and happy to take responsibility for a problem end to end
Strong craft across interaction and visual design; fluent in Figma and modern prototyping
A clear communicator who can bring stakeholders along and talk through the reasoning behind your decisions
Ambition matched with collaboration — you push for a higher bar and bring people with you, rather than raising standards on your own
A strong async communicator who shares work in progress and decisions openly
Insurance / insurtech or other regulated-industry experience
Experience working across time zones within a distributed team
