Description

Yazio is hiring a Senior Product Designer for its Growth squad, the team behind user onboarding and retention in a mobile nutrition app with millions of users. The designer owns the process end to end: discovery, prototyping, polished UI in Figma, handoff to engineering and iteration based on experiment results. The role works closely with a Lead PM, another product designer and a motion designer within a wider design team with open critique. The position is 100% remote, open to candidates in Germany, Spain, Portugal or the UK.

Responsibilities

Own product design for Growth from discovery through launch: exploring problems, prototyping, designing UI in Figma, handing over to engineering and iterating once it's live
Turn experiment hypotheses into designs, then review A/B test results with PM, engineers and Growth Analytics to decide next steps
Improve onboarding by understanding where and why people drop off, while protecting parts of the experience that already work
Shape the first week in the app, including gamification features that give people a reason to come back
Work with the PM to prioritize competing opportunities focused on improving retention
Keep design quality high and the experience consistent with the design system while moving quickly

Requirements

Designed consumer mobile apps with a freemium or subscription model and understand how activation, conversion and retention influence each other
Worked on onboarding or retention and can show what was shipped, the approach, decisions made and learnings from results
Comfortable setting up A/B tests, digging into results yourself and using learnings to change the design
Highly skilled in Figma, from prototyping and components to working with design systems, with care for interaction and visual detail on a small screen
Likes getting to the heart of a problem rather than waiting for a brief, forms a point of view, tests assumptions and brings ideas to the team
Comfortable challenging ideas with reason and open to having own work challenged by other designers
Uses AI tools as part of the design process to explore ideas, prototype and draft copy faster

Conditions

100% remote, open to candidates based in Germany, Spain, Portugal or the UK; work abroad for several weeks per year
30 vacation days plus 5 child sick days
Focus-driven culture with no overtime expectations; overtime is compensated with time back
MacBook, monitor and €1,000 annual learning budget, plus regular feedback and career development
International team with English as the company language
Fully covered company retreat, team meetups and virtual coffee breaks
