Description

A fast-growing Dutch supplements company based in central Amsterdam is hiring an experienced Creative Strategist to own creative strategy and build a structured content and testing process for paid social. The role works closely with the social media manager and the performance marketer to turn Meta and TikTok into a scalable, profitable acquisition channel. Paid social is still at an early stage, with ad budgets planned to grow to about €40,000 per month and room for significantly more if results allow.

Responsibilities

Research customer reviews, customer questions, market trends, competitors and successful ads to understand what moves the target audience
Develop new ad concepts, hooks and angles together with the social media manager into formats that can be tested and further developed
Write strong video scripts covering the opening line, storyline, visual directions and call-to-action
Translate concepts into clear briefings and oversee execution with the social media manager, designers, videographers and external creators
Set up a fixed planning and way of working that keeps new concepts, scripts and content variants ready for production and tests
Review shoots and edits, give targeted feedback and attend important shoots to safeguard content and quality
Define with the performance marketer which question each test must answer and analyse results to understand which creative choices work
Record insights and translate them directly into new concepts and variants so each test round builds on the previous one
Use AI to support research, analysis and concept development while critically assessing the output and turning it into fitting ideas
Contribute to the connection between ads and landing pages so the story convinces after the click
Build paid social into a scalable and profitable acquisition channel together with the team

Requirements

Relevant experience in creative strategy for paid social with the ability to take independent ownership
Demonstrated track record of translating customer insights into strong scripts and ad concepts, testing them and acting on the results
Ability to write strong advertising scripts and show examples of your work
Proven experience developing and testing ad concepts for Meta and TikTok, with YouTube experience as a plus
Understanding of CTR, CPA and ROAS metrics used to evaluate and improve concepts
Ability to bring structure to the creative process and maintain a constant flow of new content and tests
Interest in customer needs, doubts and motivations and skill in turning them into persuasive messages
Ability to brief makers clearly, guide them on substance and give concrete feedback
Curiosity about how AI can make the work better and more efficient while keeping control over quality and content
Ownership mindset and comfort in a growing organisation where not everything is fixed
Media buying experience is a plus but not a requirement
