Responsibilities

Own the technical strategy and long-term architecture for the company's financial systems ecosystem across ERP, procurement, financial planning, payments, billing, tax, revenue processes, integrations, data, automation, and AI
Lead, coach, and develop the Financial Systems Engineering organization responsible for platforms including NetSuite, Coupa, Planful, Stripe, ZoneBilling, Metronome, and Avalara
Serve as the senior technology leader for NetSuite and ERP, keeping the platform scalable, maintainable, secure, auditable, and aligned with a complex SaaS business
Provide technology leadership for major Finance transformation programs, including ERP reimplementation and modernization, establishing architecture, engineering standards, technical governance, and delivery practices
Partner with Product Managers for Financial Systems and Billing & Monetization to translate product strategy into technical roadmaps, architecture, and engineering plans
Shape the technology architecture supporting evolving SaaS monetization models, including subscription, multi-year, usage-based, consumption-based, and AI-related pricing and billing
Partner across Product Engineering, Sales/GTM, Finance, and Corporate Systems so pricing and packaging flow from quote and entitlement through billing, accounting, and revenue
Establish architectural boundaries and systems of record across CRM, product, billing, ERP, payments, tax, planning, and downstream data platforms
Define the strategy for Finance systems data, including authoritative sources, data models, data contracts, quality, lineage, reconciliation, and historical integrity
Partner closely with Data Engineering and Analytics to integrate Financial Systems with the enterprise data lake for reporting, analytics, reconciliation, and AI
Drive stronger data quality and observability across Quote-to-Cash and Finance workflows, moving toward proactive detection of data integrity issues
Establish an AI strategy for Financial Systems Engineering, improving engineering productivity, financial operations, controls, testing, support, and reconciliation
Evaluate and introduce AI-assisted and agentic capabilities with financial integrity, security, auditability, human oversight, and controls for higher-risk processes
Develop a strategy for automated testing and quality engineering across the Finance technology stack, including regression, integration testing, data validation, and reconciliation
Establish modern engineering practices across enterprise platforms, including source control, peer review, CI/CD, environment management, automated testing, observability, documentation, and release engineering
Determine boundaries between native SaaS configuration, platform extensibility, APIs, integrations, automation, and custom software, avoiding unnecessary customization
Partner with Integration Engineering to ensure critical Finance and Quote-to-Cash integrations use scalable patterns, explicit contracts, observability, and resilient error handling
Own the technical health and lifecycle of the Financial Systems portfolio, addressing architectural debt, fragile integrations, unnecessary customization, and manual processes
Establish architecture reviews, technical standards, engineering metrics, and platform health reviews that continuously improve Financial Systems Engineering maturity
Represent Financial Systems Engineering on executive steering committees, transformation governance forums, and major program reviews, communicating risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs
Provide technical leadership across implementation partners and strategic vendors, holding them to architecture, engineering, security, and delivery expectations
Partner with Finance leadership, Accounting, FP&A, Procurement, Tax, and Revenue stakeholders while maintaining clear technology ownership of architecture decisions
Balance delivery of major transformation programs with operational reliability, technical debt reduction, platform modernization, security, controls, and long-term engineering investments
Build partnerships across Finance, Product Engineering, Sales/GTM, Data, Security, AI & Automation, and Corporate Systems as a coherent enterprise architecture
Recruit, develop, and retain engineering talent combining Finance platform expertise, software engineering capability, and systems thinking
